Hi, I’m Katie.

For a long time, I thought I had to be one thing. Productive. Successful. Strong. Capable. The person who could hold everything together.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I was craving something that didn’t need to be explained, accomplished, or perfected.

I needed to create.

Painting became a place where I could slow down, feel things deeply, make a mess, change my mind, and let something unfold without knowing exactly where it was going. It became a way to process the beautiful parts of life, the hard parts, and all the moments in between.

My art is deeply personal, but it’s also an invitation.

An invitation to feel. To pause. To notice beauty. To take up space. To embrace the imperfect pieces of ourselves instead of constantly trying to make them make sense.

I’m drawn to earthy tones, organic shapes, movement, texture, and unexpected color because I love the tension between softness and boldness. My paintings often begin without a perfectly formed plan. I layer, scrape, add, remove, and start again until something feels right.

Maybe that’s what I love most about painting: there is always permission to begin again.

And while my art is a huge part of who I am, it is not all that I am.

I am a woman with stories, dreams, heartbreaks, hopes, relationships, doubts, and joy. I am still becoming. Still learning. Still figuring out what it means to create a life that feels like my own.

My paintings are little pieces of that journey.

I hope when you bring one into your home, you don’t just see a painting. I hope you feel something. Maybe it reminds you of a season of your life. Maybe it brings warmth to an empty wall. Maybe it makes you stop for a moment in the middle of a busy day.

Or maybe, like art has done for me, it simply reminds you that you are more than what you produce, more than what you accomplish, and more than what anyone else expects you to be.

I create for all people because art is for all people. Your experience is your own and you should be and feel free to express yourself in your own way.
